JSM Law is a busy and fast-growing firm. We are looking for an Articling Student that would be interested in personal injury and/or civil litigation. We are currently accepting applications for the 2023-2024 articling term for our Mississauga office. The ideal candidate will have:
- strong written and verbal communication skills;
- the aptitude to work independently while coordinating with other team members;
- excellent attention to detail; and
- the competence to prioritize and meet urgent deadlines. We are looking for someone responsive, eager to learn, adaptable, and enjoys a fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Handle daily administrative tasks
- Organize physical and digital project folders
- Communicating and corresponding with clients, team members and other law firms
- Preparing, editing, and drafting, court and other related documents
- Serving and filing Motions materials, Mediation briefs, Pleadings, Case Conference materials etc.
- Familiarity with Rules of Civil Procedure is an asset
- Ability to communicate in other language is also an asset
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM or 10 AM - 6 PM (In-office)
