Being involved in an accident can disrupt your life in many ways.

DISABILITY

• If you suffer serious injuries, you may be unable to work or you may be unable to carry on your normal life.
• If you are disabled due to an accident, you may be eligible to apply for an income replacement benefit, based on 70% of your gross income to a maximum of $400 per week, with a one-week waiting period.
• If you fall under a “non-earner” category, you may be eligible for non-earner benefits if you suffer a “complete inability to carry on a normal life". If eligible, you would receive $185.00 per week with a four-week waiting period.

MEDICAL

Your insurance policy will cover you for reasonable and necessary treatment with any of the following healthcare practitioners due to the accident:

• Physician
• Chiropractor
• Speech Language Pathologist
• Physiotherapist
• Psychologist
• Nurse Practitioner
• Optometrist
• Dentist
• Occupational Therapist

· If you suffer a “minor injury” treatment is limited to $3,500

NON-MINOR INJURIES AND ATTENDANT CARE SERVICES

• If you fall outside of the minor injury, you will be placed in a different category with a Medical Rehabilitation and Attendant Care Benefits limits of $65,000 over 5 years and you may be able to access Attendant Care Services
• If your injuries are considered “Catastrophic”, you will have access to $1,000,000.00 of Medical Rehabilitation Benefits over your lifetime.

DEATH & FUNERAL BENEFITS

• If as a result of an accident, a death occurs, we can assist with helping you access payments to survivors of a person who is deceased up to $25,000
• You may also receive payment of funeral expenses up to $6000

OTHER EXPENSES

• Lost educational expenses
• Expenses of visitors
• Damage to clothing, glasses, hearing aids, etc.
• Cost of examinations
